The Masterwork Music and Art Foundation is pleased to offer a $10,000 Organ Competition Award to an emerging artist committed to "excellence in the arts."
Emerging Artists are defined as those under the age of forty, who have mastered the basic techniques of their art form and are in the early years of launching a professional career. Emerging artists have created and publicly presented a modest body of work and are ready for the next steps in their artistic development.
About the Competition
From Monday, February 1 through midnight Monday, March 15, we'll be accepting applications for this award online. Each prospective awardee is asked to submit a twenty to thirty minute video, a 500 word essay, a bio and two letters of recommendation. (For the full application criteria, see the Rules section of this site.)
While the video should be submitted to our contest web site, the essary, bio and letters of recommendation should be emailed to masterworkarts@gmail.com.
All entries will be adjudicated by a panel of eleven judges, as well as the Board of the Masterwork Music and Art Foundation. On July 31, 2021, the competition winner will be announced. As a requirement of this award, each finalist will be asked to perform in a benefit concert for the Foundation at a date and location to be determined. Room, board and travel for the benefit performance will be covered by the Foundation.
